Ways to help from home!

Hi there, BASCP community! As we sit at home, trying to keep ourselves busy and entertained in a time of uncertainty, it’s a good idea to think about how we can help out in our community. Here are some ideas to get started! For older kids who sew, or want to learn, you can help by making masks for friends, family, and neighbors, or as an extra piece of protective gear for people who work in hospitals or emergency workers. Look out for information from Will about how to donate! If you know of any facility or people that are seeking these donations, please share! And here is a link to instructions. https://so-sew-easy.com/super-simple-face-mask/ For kids who are more interested in drawing, coloring, or writing, you can write or draw encouraging messages of gratitude for medical professionals, emergency workers and others who are working hard to keep us all safe. Instead of mailing paper copies, talk to an adult about scanning the picture and sharing it on the computer. We’d love to see your designs here, and when you post them, we can help pass them along to those who could use your support and art to brighten their days. Check back for more ideas soon!
