BASCP got everyone ready for summer vacation with our 3rd annual summer event, Summer Blast Off 2014. Children in all grades had a picnic in the upper field. They then enjoyed mini-golf, face painting, balloon shaving, carnival games, water games, junk sculpture, and the famous (or infamous, depending on whom you ask) donkey races. To give children energy to do so much, we provided lots of watermelon, honeydew, orange slices, string cheese, popcorn, and popsicles. Staff rewarded accomplishments, enthusiasm, and good sportsmanship with tickets which later traded in for prizes.
