On Tuesday, May 22nd, students who have participated in BASCP’s farm to market program visited the Newton Community Farm where they received a tour of the fields and barn and worked some of the crops. Reva, the farm’s educational specialist allowed students to taste and explore the herbs and see the soil samples that were being processed to determine their nutrient content. BASCP received some Chamomile and Mint that we are currently drying in our office to be sent home with the trip’s participants in order to make tea. –Will
