Once again, librarians from the Newton Free Library will be visiting our K-Extended Day Program for monthly story times. To prepare our kindergartners for these special guests, Will did a story time practice run. Children practiced being a good audience as Will read, Who Needs Donuts and Pete & Pickles.
After learning about some interesting potato chip flavors, Ozone students requested a potato chip taste test, so on Friday, that’s what the Ozone did. Only fourth grader, Sam, correctly identified all four flavors. Students then judged the flavors on a scale of 1(disgusting) to 5(delicious). Here are the overall ratings:
- Cape Cod Sweet Mesquite Barbeque 3.83
- Lay’s Dill Pickle Flavor: 3.71
- Kettle Roasted Garlic 3.24
- Garden Veggie Chips 2.73
Creating board games, Legos, googly eye wallets, decoupage boxes, and Slamwich were just a few of the things enjoyed by 4th and 5th graders on Thursday.
