Today was the last session for Fabricated Mini Monsters. After the last session, the Mini Monsters decided to visit the Stars’ Free Play Room:
Sarah has been visiting the last few Thursdays to teach several children how to sew. Each child is creating a Mini Monsters to take home.
On Thursday, children in the Comets and Ozone programs enjoyed a field trip to Broadmoor Sanctuary in Natick.
On Tuesday, May 14th, the “Recreators” made their third trip to Cold Springs Park where many exciting events took place. Here’s a run down on what transpired. Joel let the kids run wild literally as he encouraged all participants to get off the bus and run screaming into the open fields of the park. Will B. took interested participants on a woods walk through the ancient natural surroundings in search of birds, salamanders, and diverse flora. Our director, Ellen, took time to escape from her enormous stack of paperwork to enjoy a much needed run on the many paths this wonderful public facility has to offer.
On Wednesday, May 8th, the Recreators Club visited Larz Anderson in temperamental weather conditions. Despite a few showers, our students had a wonderful time and rated Lars Anderson very highly. Joel was able to take some amazing pictures of the beautiful surroundings, and Will B. reveled in the children’s fun on the fields and the playground. So far, Recreators have 12.5 miles logged!
Check out our Recreators log poster for information on where we have traveled, the miles we have logged, the individual ratings for the parks, and the addresses of these public parks.
